09 Dec Breakfast and dessert combo: Yoghurt with berries and cereal

Breakfast is a really important meal, yet many of us ignore it on a daily basis. I say many of “us” because I used to do the same thing for quite some time.

The reason we forget to eat breakfast is because it’s a trouble sometimes. Having to make something to eat just as soon as you’re out of bed is arguably not the best way to start off your day.

The solution, of course, isn’t to skip breakfast altogether, but to make it simple, quick and enjoyable!

Although I wouldn’t quite call it a recipe, I’m going to show you how to make a quick, healthy and cheap breakfast in 4 simple steps. Remember that you can eat this as a dessert too if you want!

Ingredients:

  • Greek yoghurt 2% (200g)
  • 1 tablespoon of any kind of berries (e.g. blueberries, raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, and of course, my favourite, sliced strawberries)
  • 1 tablespoon corn flakes/muesli or any other type of cereal

Kitchenware

  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 tablespoon

Cooking:

  1. Empty the yoghurt in a small bowl
  2. Pour the berries
  3. Pour the cereal
  4. Mix for a few seconds

Done!

LoveMyKilos Tip: I wouldn’t recommend keeping this in the fridge, the corn flakes are going to go soggy.
